PrestaShop has no back-office field for site-wide scripts. The clean way is a child theme: it adds the embed code to the main layout and survives updates of the parent theme. This guide is for people who are comfortable with theme files.
Copy the embed code
In Notiamo, open Clients, then the client, then the site. In the Embed code card, press the copy button. The line looks like this:
<script src="https://my.notiamo.com/widget.js" data-site="pk_…" defer></script>
Check that the shop’s address is in Allowed origins on the same page. More in Install the widget.
Create the child theme
- Create a child theme of your current theme, as the PrestaShop guide describes: a folder in
/themes/withconfig/theme.yml(naming the parent) andpreview.png. - In the child theme, create
templates/layouts/layout-both-columns.tplwith this content and your own key:
{extends file='parent:layouts/layout-both-columns.tpl'}
{block name='hook_before_body_closing_tag'}
{$smarty.block.parent}
<script src="https://my.notiamo.com/widget.js" data-site="pk_…" defer></script>
{/block}
The Classic and Hummingbird themes both have this layout and this block, just before </body>. Their other main layouts (full width, left column, content only) extend it. Checkout and error pages use separate layouts, so the review button does not show there. If your theme is different, look for its main layout file.
Activate it and clear the cache
- In the back office, go to Design > Theme & Logo, click Add new theme and upload the child theme as a .zip file.
- Select it and click Use this theme.
- In Advanced Parameters > Performance, click Clear cache.
Check that it works
Open the shop with ?review=1 at the end of the address. The review button appears at the bottom right. If it does not, see Fix common problems.
