Squarespace adds scripts to every page through code injection. Its Footer field puts the code before the closing </body> tag, which is the right place for Notiamo.

Before you start

Squarespace offers code injection on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans, and on some legacy plans. If you do not see it, check your plan.

Copy the embed code

In Notiamo, open Clients, then the client, then the site. In the Embed code card, press the copy button. The line looks like this:

<script src="https://my.notiamo.com/widget.js" data-site="pk_…" defer></script>

Check that the site’s address is in Allowed origins on the same page. More in Install the widget.

Add the code

  1. Open the Code injection panel of your site. The Squarespace guide below links straight to it.
  2. Paste the embed code into the Footer field.
  3. Click Save.

Squarespace checkout pages do not run custom code, so the review button does not appear there.

Check that it works

Injected code may not run in the site editor. Open the live site in a private window, with ?review=1 at the end of the address. The review button appears at the bottom right. If it does not, see Fix common problems.

If the editor shows an error about injected code, Squarespace offers Disable Scripts in Preview in the editor. The live site is not affected.
