If you control the site’s code, the widget is one line in the template that every page shares.
Copy the embed code
In Notiamo, open Clients, then the client, then the site. In the Embed code card, press the copy button. The line looks like this:
<script src="https://my.notiamo.com/widget.js" data-site="pk_…" defer></script>
Check that each address where people review the site, such as staging and production, is in Allowed origins on the same page. More in Install the widget.
Plain HTML and static site generators
Paste the line just before </body>, in the shared layout: the base template, the footer partial or the root index.html. With defer, the browser loads it without blocking the page.
If the site has no shared layout, paste it into each page.
Next.js
Next.js recommends its Script component. Put it in the root layout, app/layout.tsx, so it loads once for every route. Extra attributes such as data-site are passed on to the script tag.
import Script from "next/script";
export default function RootLayout({ children }: { children: React.ReactNode }) {
return (
<html lang="en">
<body>{children}</body>
<Script src="https://my.notiamo.com/widget.js" data-site="pk_…" />
</html>
);
}
Let your AI agent do it
If you build the site with an AI agent, copy the AI prompt from the site page in Notiamo and paste it into the agent. It finds the right layout, adds the embed code and creates .notiamo.json. See the AI agent guides.
Check that it works
Deploy, then open a page with ?review=1 at the end of its address. The review button appears at the bottom right. If it does not, see Fix common problems.
